Playground — Designed to help adults discover and connect with communities through play

Playground is a community-focused app designed to help adults build meaningful connections through play and shared experiences. Users take a personality quiz to match with one of eight unique characters, then discover activities, explore their city, and connect with like-minded people through events and chatrooms.

Created for the University of Florida’s Gator User Design 2025 Design-A-Thon, this app was designed in only 24 hours. The experience reimagines community-building by making meeting new people feel more playful, approachable, and engaging.

During the 24-hour Design-A-Thon, I took the lead on developing the app’s low-fidelity wireframes and establishing the structure of the onboarding experience. I mapped out key user flows, including login, the personality quiz, quiz results, and the profile experience, while working closely with my team to ensure the interface supported our overall concept.

Because of the limited timeframe, I focused on quickly translating ideas into clear, testable screens that gave the team a foundation for the final visual design.
